Membership criteria

Prospective members of the LEA must fulfill the following conditions:

• University degree and professional experience in Economics or related fields (higher academic training is preferred)
• Commitment to the values and objectives of LEA
• Proven interest in Lebanese economic issues

The LEA operates a peer approval system for welcoming prospective members. Any person interested in joining LEA needs to submit an application and a CV to LEA’s chairperson, who will then presentthe application to LEA’s board for approval.

Interested individuals (especially students of economics or related fields) that do not meet the above criteria may be admitted as non-voting members.

 

Annual membership fees

 

• Professional Members: 60 USD
• Non-Voting & Student Members: 20 USD

 

Institutional membership

 

• Institutional membership is a special classification for companies or organizations that sponsor LEA. Dues for this membership are US$600 per year (Minimum). These organizations help LEA continue to expand its services and offerings to the community of professionals and researchers that are interested in supporting the LEA’s mission, to spread and enhance the economics culture and methodology in Lebanon, with a view to adding value to the public policy debate.



• When you become an institutional member of LEA, you will be able to designate staff members of your organization, who will receive the benefits of a regular membership, including:

1.  Access to LEA’s Member Directory



2.  Your company will receive recognition of their institutional membership in the Annual Membership Directory, a listing on our website and acknowledgment in the preliminary and final program announcements for the LEA International Annual Conference.

5.  LEA Newsletter (in process)



6.  Timely notification of upcoming conferences and events
